Happy birthday Reico

Another Year
I’m wishing you another year
Of laughter, joy and fun,
Surprises, love and happiness,
And when your birthday’s done,
I hope you feel deep in your heart,
As your birthdays come and go,
How very much you mean to me,
More than you can know. Happy brithday^^

Count in Features

This my drawing is a nearly comprehensive list of the brushes that I use in order of their frequency:

1-pencil tool, very useful basic soft edge, all-purpose tool. I can soften edges, do linework, and fix blending areas.(example)

2-Digital airbrush, similar to 2B but it creates kind of a diffusion with random colors, sometimes I want the color variation, usually just on the underpainting.

3-I will more focus on some features detail and lighting. so usually I spend more time on it. Smeary wet sponge 100, sometimes a cool tool for grainy edges and building up color.

4-Create some design in a new layer... Look nice rite?

I am really not a tool or software guy. I usually just find something that works and stick with it, that is why my oil painting brushes are so trashed.^.^

Red Girl

A new digital painting l done by this morning. I did a drawing I liked and wanted an interesting background and color scheme. Like I've said before I have a hard time staying interested beyond the face. =.=

An old works. I don't really know the reasoning behind it. I sometimes just start drawing then go whatever direction hits me first. To save me the trouble of a real background I just scrub in some colors that will accentuate the primary characters design. Done in air brush & color pencil, like pretty much all of my mixed media work.

2 old women, 2 difference stories.

A Arcyclic painting done on a 16"x22" Masonite board. I basically like this 2 old women painting. One interesting thing is that as it has been sitting against the wall for the last few months I've notice that it has a fantastic glow to the face (this isn't really relayed by the digital image), which is what I had hoped for. The dull cool colors in the background and warm colors in the face to direct the attention. I think the face need few layers to build up the lights so I suppose it is reflecting light just below the surface.I've included a detail so that you can see the paint work up close.^.^

Digital Arts

A Digital painting done from an old concept that I could never get the colors that I wanted. I did the drawing a few months back and tried few times to paint it up but kept getting stuck with bad colors.

THE ONE style from the one...

Haven't done much digital painting lately, here is a simple study. this four painting has much a stronger drawing(I only realized right now as I look back at the post). I like the nontraditional composition, slightly graphic. It sits against the wall in my studio for a month or two now and I still like it, whenever I don't hate it after a couple of hours that is a good thing. My Lecture still has issues with it and I plan on some light changes but it's basically there.^.^

Nature Arts

I love painting, and that’s to stay positive from my painting. I make it a point to celebrate what’s cool and wonderful and beautiful about nature and life, to pass along something interesting, informative or uplifting. Sometimes the smallest tiny thing is what’s important or cool. Sometimes the most reviled creature can be the most beautiful or stirring to me. I trust, in keeping this focus, that people would rather hear the life history of a strange roach we’ve found than to hear me whine about having a bad day or a deathly case of ennui or something. There’s gobs of stuff that nobody needs to know about, and staying positive helps keep a blog worth reading. Your personality can creep through without telling people the nitty details of your day. Which leads me to my next bit of advice.
I find that preparing posts ahead of time, and having a theme for groups of posts (such as a trip you’ve taken, or a place you love, or the birds in your yard, or how you’ve created a painting, or whatever organizing element you wish), where you have to come up with something new and different every day. I find it leads to a totally unfounded feeling of being victimized by my blog (Do I HAVE to post today?? I just posted yesterday!) I like to plan ahead and I write them when I’m in the mood, and coast on them for a week or two until I feel like writing more. At least that’s what works for me.

The Drawing Myth

Zoo trip

I WANT CONTINUING THE ADVENTURES OF TEACHING KIDS ART!

You can sense it when the students are really enthused about an assignment and they’re eagerly immersing themselves in their work. I float around the room encouraging creativity, nudging inspiration, and playfully joking with the kids. Amidst the flurry of noise and activity there are days I must simply stop and smile as I take a moment to remind myself that teaching kids art was my dream, and I'm living it.

The Little Things

I love teaching kids art. There are so many aspects about it that give me a strong sense of purpose and satisfaction. I simply adore art, and the opportunity to get to talk about it everyday is ideal for me. I really enjoy kids and the challenge of inspiring and exciting them about my subject. Much of the philosophy of teaching continues to fascinate me.

Since you’re gone

Since you’re gone,There is an empty space.
I go back to the places we’ve been
It feels like you’re still there,
I live all those moments again
Wishing you were here.....
